Challenge photo Something there is a lot of

Happy Silly Tuesday. Huh the challenge here is what is there a lot of in Seattle - Oh - I know.

On August 3 I had open heart surgery and I am getting back to normal.

ON August 2nd - the day before - our son invited me to spend the day in Seattle on a Photo Challenge to distract me from worrying. He gave me a list of 40 subjects and challenged me to find at least 30 of them. What a great day. NOTE - I captured 33 and I will show some over the next few weeks. I will give him credit for a day well planned and he showed a lot of patience while giving me time to play with my camera.

I appreciate all the comments – I find them very encouraging. My primary photography is flowers and landscapes along with my grandkids.

Most of my photos are, “as they were taken.” I do work with lighting or darkening them in many cases (and sometimes I will sharpen them) but I try not to use too much “photo-shopping” If I do adjust them – I try to mention it.

My goal is to I try to keep my photography as photography and not turn it into art. While I do love the retouched photos, I personally think they become art and not photography – just my opinion.

Isn't there a song about how they built a Starbucks across the street from another Starbucks so people didn't have to walk as far? Maybe it was a comedy skit. Great idea, the photo challenge.
